The San Antonio Spurs are set to officially transition out of their rebuild and into a competitive era. It feels like they’re in the same position the Rockets were in two years ago when they had one last trip to the lottery before making a significant coaching change and using their cap space to bring in veterans. They couldn’t get enough reps with Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox together before their season-ending injuries, but they should be considered a contender to at least make the Play-In Tournament next season.
