The Philadelphia 76ers' season was so unexpectedly disappointing that it completely changed the context of their 2024 offseason decisions. Their plan to preserve 2024 cap space was to reset their window around Joel Embiid for several more years. Now, it’s possible that they may have closed it completely shut.

Lottery luck ahead of the 2025 Draft could significantly raise their outlook. They’ll run the team back again next season. It will be a crucial year in determining the core’s contention viability and whether to continue with it beyond next season.
