The Orlando Magic are having another impressive season despite several setbacks. They’ve proven to be very resilient being able to stay five games above .500 with significant injuries, particularly during a challenging stretch where they went 13-7 without Paolo Banchero. This run was fueled by Franz Wagner's emergence as an All-NBA caliber player, seemingly validating the organization's decision to award him a maximum extension last offseason.
With Banchero, Wagner, and Jalen Suggs forming their core for the foreseeable future, many view the Magic as just one piece away from legitimate championship contention. While they possess the assets to pursue such a move, their future payroll commitments may ultimately prevent them from making a splash in the trade market.
