I go over the Pelicans biggest contractual situations on the roster and give some bigger pictures thoughts.

The Pelicans season is all but over. It has been ravaged with injuries, leaving just Zion Williamson, Yves Missi, and Jordan Hawkins as their only core pieces on the court for their last 9 games. Aside from evaluating them and everyone else on the roster, the last shoe to drop is where their lottery pick slots.

They are just 1.5 games behind the Hornets for the 3rd worst record, which would raise their floor from potentially dropping to the 8th selection to the 7th as a worst-case scenario. It would also increase their probability of having a top-five selection from 55.3 percent to 66 percent.
